Welcome to Shivika Pottery
Always inspired, fun and creative. That’s how I would introduce myself. I began my tryst with pottery and clay work back in 2016 when I went to attend several art and clay workshops. Amused and motivated to learn more, I decided to apprehend what exactly goes behind all those beautiful creations.
Inspired from the very beginning, I took a plunge into clay art and never looked back! I decided to join workshops and went on to attend lessons at Zorba, the Buddha, New Delhi back in 2016. The excitement of learning something new and creative lured me into taking professional training from Golden Bridge and Anandgram, Sanskriti, New Delhi.
Fun, is how I would describe my next few months. Simply for the reason
that clay was one medium through which I was able to express and without
any constraints. Not because it was easy to work around clay, but
because If you knew your clay well, it played around you! After learning
all those techniques, I finally started implementing all my skills and
lessons into conceptualized products in 2019 when I did a 4 month
training course at Anvi Pottery by Sandeep Manjerkar in Maharashtra.
My Passion
Creative is what my past few years have been. Exploring artforms, patterns, techniques, designs and styles, there has been no looking back. Be it glazing or firing, coiling or pinching, I have been extensively involved in each step that is an integral part of pottery. The setting up of my personal studio is just the first step towards many big ones on the way. As with any artist, I am a constant work in progress and wish to stay like that!
I see my brand as a reflection of my personality. Shivika's Pottery is
an amalgamation of fun and creativity. My products stand for a homely
feeling that never fades away! With my brand, I wish to send a sense of
belonging and warmth, from my end to yours!
